About

Bob PRINT Size-1

I grew up on the family farm in Wigtownshire, South West Scotland, which gave my imagination the chance to run wild from an early age while at the same time instilling a sense of guilt that I should be working harder rather than day dreaming.

At eighteen I left to study design in Edinburgh but got a bit distracted by life outside the lecture theatre. I then spent the next few years doing every kind of dead-end job available in a good few different places before winding up here in Edinburgh, owing to the fact I married an Edinburger (I think that’s what you call them).

These days, when I’m not writing and doing occasional bouts of stand-up comedy I spend my days trying to catch internet fraudsters.

I live with my wife and son, and Oscar, our feline overlord.

Creativity or the need for it seems to run in the family. One of my brothers is a sculptor and the other is a photographer. My mum and sisters run a coffee shop, where they come up with ever more ingenious ways to mess with peoples’ taste buds and feed their sugar addictions.

Snow Storm is my first crime novel.
